On Sep. 30 2025, exactly 34 years to the day after its first coup against former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, the U.S. government rammed through the UN Security Council Resolution 2793 which authorized the deployment in Haiti of a “Gang Suppression Force” (GSF), projected to be a 5,500 multinational soldiers and police officers, supported by 50 civilians, whose logistics will be paid for by the UN.

Ives explains how this deadly project is a complete violation of the UN Charter and how it seeks to crush Haiti’s self-determination.

The action was organized by the Black Alliance for Peace (BAP).

CLARIFICATION: When saying that Haiti is the “Gaza of the Western Hemisphere,” Ives meant to say that Haiti is the “Palestine of the Western Hemisphere.” The populations of both Haiti and Palestine — within their national borders complemented by their diasporas — are about 16 million people each.
