Host Joseph Mullen and journalist Kim Ives interview a well-placed Venezuelan activist and former government official, who speaks anonymously due to the delicacy of the political situation in Venezuela.

Identified as “Rosana,” she responds to the Apr. 19, 2026 front page New York Times article entitled “Maduro Is Gone, and the Purge Has Begun.”

Then, Kim and Joseph compare the situation to that of 1994 when exiled President Jean-Bertrand Aristide was returned to power in Haiti by the Clinton administration on the shoulders of 22,000 U.S. troops in order to implement neoliberal reforms as some kind of hostage.
