Maybe this is my favorite improvement made by the developers
It also makes SWAT 4 identical to its much more visually impressive brother, Rainbow Six Vegas 2.
And that has to be, objectively speaking, a good thing.
If you are a fan of PC game developer Bungie, you should recognize this modded version of SWAT 4 as a highly polished version of the title fans had long dreamed of.
Users can notice subtle graphical improvements and better sound. Improvements include:
Enhanced graphics Φ Fixed some minor UI inconsistencies
Added a much more realistic, AI controlled SWAT robot
Added an interactive environment
Added a much more detailed settings menu.
Added new weapon skins
Increased the number of weapons playable
Decreased the cost of ammo
Improved fire progression
Increased the number of player characters
Added an interactive hit register
Slightly reduced the amount of blood on screen
Shorter load times and longer gameplay times
Added additional mission briefings
Edited cutscene transitions
Added more audio cues
Textures are more detailed
Improved the logic in the line of sight and target locking algorithms
Increased enemy AI, bomb spawning, and environment reactivity
A modder decided to combine his love of the SWAT games with his love of poker, and came up with the “WOWpoint” card. The mod is a collection of poker chips that are dropped by SWAT teams playing SWAT Elite Force and can be used in the online poker game.
A mod that can use voice recognition to point out a nearby sniper through your headset is another truly mind blowing element to SWAT Elite Force. This is another element that is integrated into the SWAT Elite Force mod, a mod that will allow players to call in SWAT units, along with other squads. Almost every element of SWAT Elite Force is linked to the game and to its online aspect, connecting and resulting in a better experience.
SWAT 4 was released in 2004 and remastered in 2014, and now it is slated for a 2017 re-release on Xbox One as well as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC via Steam. The remaster will include additional content that will be released after the initial release and will include:- Xbox One and PS4 will be able to play this mod online (currently PlayStation 3 and PC cannot)
Its worth noting that this is not the first modding work for the SWAT 4. More than a half dozen additional mods have been created since the game was released in 2004, but this project has been going on longer than that and is considered to be the largest modding project that has ever been done.
Note that the maps included in the remaster will only support the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. (Sorry, PS2 and Wii owners!)With a constant stream of modding support, updates, and community feedback, SWAT 4 is looking like quite the solid yet realistic entry into the world of tactical gaming, and it seems like the game is right on the brink of recapturing the days of old, before the console-gaming phenomenon began to take over.
[00:28:20] Jonathan Lee: You wont be able to do it, especially if youre doing something like holding onto that, that very exciting 300 plus SWAT FTP that you want to hold on to because it really pads the ego, but then it makes your training compromised, adapt to training will do as best as it can with that. And itll make adjustments.
Some are used to play a game that is a mix of a first person shooter and a platformer. The SWAT Elite Force mod takes the game to a whole new level, and incorporated extremely realistic control options, allowing players to drop like a trap. I think it also features a futuristic and highly advanced level of technology in its design.
