I just found myself wanting to take a photograph with this rather than the 6D. The 6D is my primary system camera right now, however, the image quality is just too poor to let me use this as my main camera. But with how it compares to the 6D in the shootout, that’s a large disappointment. The 6D at least is a great camera and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
There’s a lot of hype around this upgrade but for the most part it was a pointless bump. If you like to create a catalog of camera settings, then this is still something that you can use. Monitoring how your objects overexpose when you try and fix it is an interesting idea, but lacks simplicity. The features are also poorly bundled. Try to find import-export settings? Not a chance.
Overall, I’d still recommend the upgrade for anyone new to photography looking to jump onto the latest technology. But for people used to Photoshop, I’d recommend staying put until Adobe adds more features to the upgraded version.
