If you’re an avid photographer, you know how much of a challenge it can be to edit large RAW files while on the go. Adobe Photoshop Elements was developed following the success of Photoshop. Elements provides the same creative tools as its leading counterpart, but with more integration into the rest of the Photoshop ecosystem. In other words, it bridges the gap between the desktop and mobile apps and gives users the opportunity to export and print images to fit any device.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) is also a thing now and allows you to get rid of serious noise from your images without losing any details. Another cool tool available on Photoshop, is the multi-lens tool. You can push this to a new level if you use it with other lens like GoPro camera lenses, macro lenses and the Einstein prisms. The Elements version 3 lacks many of the professional features in the full Photoshop suite. For example, Photoshop Elements lacks programming tools and a character map. It offers various special effects and allows you to scale and rotate images with the help of masks.

The full version of Photoshop includes many split-pane views of your document. You can zoom in on an image in one pane, while keeping an overview of the whole in another. You can also set the zoom to a fraction of the image, which is really helpful if you need to zoom in on an element of the image.

As with its Elements stablemate, Premiere Elements, Photoshop Elements for macOS matches its Windows 10 counterpart feature-for-feature. The software requires macOS 10.14 or later, but it doesn’t yet support Apple Silicon M1-based Macs. That’s on Adobe’s roadmap for the software, however. Unlike Premiere Elements, Photoshop Elements is available on the Mac App Store, which simplifies installation, updating, and moving the app to another computer.

It’s always hard to decide which one is the best available software! It’s not just about number of tools and features, but also about how you like the way it works. Photoshop is a strong tool that can handle a lot of tasks quickly. Adobe Photoshop is a mac only application with 2 versions: One for professional use as well as one for graphic designers, hobbyists and students.

Enhance tools allow you to improve the quality of images using size, tone, and other adjustments. The Smooth Sharpen tool allows you to remove excess grain and add more detail in blurry content to achieve the look of an old film exposure. It can also be used on such objects as cats and waterfalls to simulate the look of an old photo.

Elements 16 users will have the option to use Microsoft® Office. Adobe also announced today at MAX that the new creative cloud for Microsoft Office will be available for free for one year as part of an ongoing effort to give users more flexibility on how they use the cloud. You’ll be able to save a Microsoft Office file on your Creative Cloud account and jump directly into the cloud when it’s time to get to work.

Wacom X series support on Wacom tablets becomes a public preview with the release of Photoshop 2019. This new capability causes Photoshop to recognize Wacom devices as a regular input, so that you can share your professional content with Photoshop.

There are once again many more options for creating a beautiful cityscapes image. Perhaps one of the most popular templates from Envato Elements, the PhotoGrid has 300 vector assets that you can import into Photoshop. To use it simply drag the individual assets onto the canvas and arrange them however you like. All you need to do is drag an image into the template, click on the icon with a pair of scissors to cut it out. It’s then as easy to fill the framework with any stock image. To get started with a new project, simply go to Files > New from the menu bar. For example, to quickly create a new page and define a layout, go to Pages > New > Smart Object. Select a layout you like, and adjust the grid to your liking. A new window will open with your new page ready to edit. You can resample your images, and toggle textures and effects in and out. But that’s not all. Photoshop has some great new features that keep the tool looking cutting edge. First up is G Suite Link. G Suite Link allows you to easily open and edit files in your collaboration environment. Simply log in to the service, click on a file’s icon, and you’ll be prompted for your login information. To solve this, head to your AWS Managed Private Windows Environment, create a S3 account or transfer a file from any other location, and link the asset for ongoing editing. It might not be the easiest program to learn the ropes, but the level of quality of output you get is worth the effort.

Photoshop’s timeline lets you keep all your assets organized, and when you start a new project, you can choose from assets already in this library. It’s quick, easy and free. You can even create a new project by dragging assets to the timeline.

In the “Intelligent” tab, you can apply spot healing, spot healing, local adjustments, or despeckle to refine specific regions of a photo. Use the Filters panel to apply a range of effects, like blur, despeckle, grain, or healing. Adjust the brightness, contrast, and sharpness of an image manually, or let Photoshop Elements do it for you with a single click.
