the calibrations may be saved and recalled by clicking the appropriate button. each calibration is represented by a series and a frequency . the series is defined by the number of steps of a segment in the dial. the frequency is defined by the starting point of the dial and the number of segments in the dial.
a standard series is composed of 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 or 256 segments. a c series is composed of 2, 4, 8, 16 or 32 segments. a stepped series is composed of a standard series, a set of segments which are stepped along the dial. the segments may be stepped up or down by clicking on the appropriate button. a flat series is an inverted stepped series. the segments of a stepped series can be stepped up or down by clicking on the appropriate button. the frequency of the segment is defined by the starting point of the dial and the number of steps of the dial. clicking on the dial changes the starting point and the number of steps . the frequency of the segment is defined by the starting point of the dial and the number of segments in the dial. clicking on the dial changes the starting point and the number of segments .

4. tuning & equipment calibrating – in general, the calibration tone is used to adjust the transmission level. as the tone is increased the transmission level is decreased. change the tone and try again. after several attempts, the tone may be brought back to its original setting by adjusting the calibration setting.
click on the aircraft preset button on the left side of the screen to select an aircraft from the preset list. any aircraft with a yellow background in the list will be used for the calibration. you must be using the same aircraft that you used during the calibration. if you change to a different aircraft, click on the aircraft’s entry in the preset list to the right and then re-select the aircraft that was calibrated for use.
if the calibration tone was not detected, this will be indicated on the status line. make adjustments and click calibrate to try again. it may be necessary to attempt a different loopback method if you can’t get it to work after several tries.
6. summary – the display is split into two halves, the left side displays aircraft information, and the right side displays or allows to save the selected aircraft. the software will only display data for the aircraft which is currently selected or the default aircraft.
hint 1: if using speakers and loopback is working, you should hear a very short tone. the status will change to calibrated and the frequency and calibration factor will be displayed. the vu meter will indicate relative input level. it may be necessary to adjust input or output levels, or the microphone position if using option 3 for loopback.
