the driver is currently configured to support the following devices:
tivo hd series 2 and later
tivo hd series 1 and earlier
tivo series 1
the package contains the following perl modules:
the autocomcdpusbdriver package provides a generic and reusable autocomplete driver for the universal serial bus (usb). this enables the superuser to have a fully functional text-based “keyboard” on any usb host connected computer.
autocomcdpusbdriver %s provides all the drivers necessary to autocomplete a usb drive. this is a list of drivers we require, not necessarily all that are installed. the drivers are searched in the order: autocom usb_drv,usb_drv_autocom,usb_drv_usb,usb_drv_usb_autocom.
autocomusbdrv,autocomusbdrv_autocom,autocomusbdrv_autocom autocomusbdrv only search through this list. all autocomplete drivers reside at: /usr/share/autocomplete/drivers/autocomusb.
autocomcdpusbdriver is used to provide a way to start the software autocompletion of a usb device (ttyacm0) automatically using tetex/latex. autocompletion works only from the beginning to the end of a file (see below the usage section).
usage examples: the default behavior of the autocom driver is to stop the drive whenever the power is unplugged or too hot. this can be configured: if autosafe_auto_stop is enabled, it will auto stop the device if the drive is unplugged. enabling it will also disable the drivers’ own auto stop. if autosafe_level is set to 2 (default) or higher (between 0 and 9) then the drive is returned immediately to the “ready” state. enabling it will also disable the drivers’ own auto recovery.
an autocompleting cd command is a command which, depending on what the user has typed so far, either changes to a subdirectory of the current directory, or if the user has typed any other characters except the directory name, and if the current directory is a file, makes that file the root directory. for example, the following sequence of commands is an autocompleting cd:
$ cd / $ cd /work $ cd mywork $ cd /home $ cd /thiswork this command doesn’t really do anything for you, and if you want it to do something useful, then just type the cd command. but you can take advantage of the fact that any of these commands will become the current directory if the user then types any one character.
